Cotton Lycra is Great for Leggings

I’m happy to announce that I’ve discovered cotton lycra is great for leggings. I was not a fan of it until this point, which just goes to show you can hate a fabric until you find the right application for it. That application for me was the free Anything But Basic Leggings by DIBY Club. Pictured below, I have two full length versions, and then a mini version which I’m excited to wear in warmer weather.

What Makes Cotton Lycra Great for Leggings

  • It’s comfortable. Lightweight and airy, you can easily forget you’re even wearing a pair of cotton lycra leggings made to fit you.
  • It’s affordable. Some CL goes for $5/yd, and other custom prints can go for $15.
  • The variety. CL comes in limitless prints and looks.
  • It stretches. Adequately stretchy fabric helps make leggings more comfortable to move around in.

And Then There’s This DBP Headband…

I’ve ordered headbands on Etsy, and never seems to fail they’re uncomfortably tight. Not sure what the deal with that is, but with this free earwarmer pattern by Ellie and Mac, I can now make my own. And double brushed poly is spot on for making a comfortable headband. Finally, headbands with great stretch, and a little extra fabric to effectively cover the ears for warmth when wanted.
