Another Fabric Box // My Dedicated Sewing Space Begins

The Beginning of my Sewing Room

Welcome home to me. Finally. As of two weeks ago, we have finally moved into our forever home. With it comes so many things to love, including a stunning mountain view and the room I have claimed as my girl cave, my creative space, my sewing room. I have so much to do to make it just the way I want, but it is already infinitely more functional than the kitchen island in the crummy apartment. And all I have so far is that cheap-o desk and some Ikea drawers.

My inaugural project was another fabric box for holding the pile of teaspoon/tablespoon measuring utensils that have previous cluttered random drawers. I made it to coordinate with my tall pantry box I made months ago for the pantry in the afore mentioned crummy apartment. I plan to make at least one more tiny box to hold random spice packets on my corner cabinet Lazy Susan (which is like THE best thing ever.)

It was so nice to get back to creating. It felt so good to turn on my machine, like hugging an old friend.

The box is done and is nestled perfectly in a cabinet, officially controlling the mess of measuring utensils in style. I have many other things to make to turn this house into home, and I will enjoy every second of it.

Between unpacking, of course.
