Dandelion Tee #6

Dandelion Tee #6 comes at you in double-brushed poly from Boho Fabrics and black cotton spandex french terry from Surge Fabric Shop. Featuring a cowl neck, slim fit, banded hem, long sleeves, and extra-long sleeve cuffs, this is so far my favorite Dandelion.

What’s Different

  • I redrew the front and back pattern piece, taking it down one size around the hips. My previous Dandelions all seemed a little gappy around the hip area and I wanted to let the ease of the fabric control the fit rather than a measurement number.
  • I kept extra length on the sleeves, but also added some length to the cuffs, just because I liked the idea of that look.
  • I had intended to include in-seam pockets, but forgot about them as I was sewing. Turns out, I’m happy without them. I’m afraid the hand of the DBP would have caused the pocket outlines to show through.
  • Floral prints are typically my least favorite, but I love the colors on this fabric (especially next to the black) and the flowers are large enough to come across more abstract.
