About the Fabric
Leslie Floral on Black double brushed poly from Surge Fabrics
- 50% horizontal
- 50% vertical
- Fabric Content: 96% polyester/4% spandex
- Weight: 180gsm
Leftover from my first Be Dreamy dress, I snagged this DBP because I fell in love with the colors. I don’t often gravitate to floral prints, but something about this one just worked in my eyes. It was also only $5/yard and I had a good chunk left to use up.

What I Did Differently
- Serged the first hem band seam. Much better.
- Added another inch to the bodice so it would crop lower.
Notes for next Time
- Not sure if I’m sold on the extra length or not. I may need to flare it out a little more since it hits below my natural waist with that adjustment. It’s easy enough to flip the hem band up, though, so I can wear this at 1″ shorter.
